In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Adhikari Dibyendu of TMC won in this seat defeating Sidharthashankar Naskar of BJP by a margin of 1,90,165 votes which was 13.15% of the total votes cast for the seat. TMC had a vote share of 50.07% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Adhikari Suvendu of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Sekh Ibrahim Ali of CPM by a margin of 2,46,481 votes which was 18.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 53.58% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Adhikari Suvendu of TMC won this seat beating Lakshman Chandra Seth of CPM by a margin of 1,72,958 votes which was 15.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC had a vote share of 55.52% in the seat.
