In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Jagannath Sarkar of BJP won in this seat defeating Rupali Biswas of TMC by a margin of 2,33,428 votes which was 15.73% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.75% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Tapas Mandal of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Archana Biswas of CPM by a margin of 2,01,767 votes which was 14.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 43.63% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sucharu Ranjan Haldar of TMC won this seat beating Basudeb Barman of CPM by a margin of 1,01,823 votes which was 8.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC had a vote share of 50.13% in the seat.
