In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Debasree Chaudhuri of BJP won in this seat defeating Agarwal Kanaialal of TMC by a margin of 60,574 votes which was 4.74% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 40.03% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Md Salim of CPM emerged victorious in this seat beating Deepa Dasmunsi of INC by a margin of 1,634 votes which was 0.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM secured a vote share of 28.65% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Deepa Dasmunsi of INC won this seat beating Bireswar Lahiri of CPM by a margin of 1,05,203 votes which was 11.7% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 50.26% in the seat.
