In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Jyotirmay Singh Mahato of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Mriganka Mahato of TMC by a margin of 2,04,732 votes which was 15.11% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 49.28% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Mriganka Mahato of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Narahari Mahato of AIFB by a margin of 1,53,877 votes which was 12.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 38.87% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Narahari Mahato of AIFB won this seat beating Shantiram Mahato of INC by a margin of 19,301 votes which was 2.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. AIFB had a vote share of 44.12% in the seat.
