In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Khagen Murmu of BJP won in this seat defeating Mausam Noor of TMC by a margin of 84,288 votes which was 6.22% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 37.59% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Mausam Noor of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Khagen Murmu of CPM by a margin of 65,705 votes which was 5.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 33.41% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Mausam Noor of INC won this seat beating Sailen Sarkar of CPM by a margin of 60,141 votes which was 6.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.76% in the seat.
