In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Raju Bista of BJP won in this seat defeating Amar Singh Rai of TMC by a margin of 4,13,443 votes which was 32.62% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 59.08% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, S S Ahluwalia of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bhai Chung Bhutia of TMC by a margin of 1,97,239 votes which was 17.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 42.75% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Jaswant Singh of BJP won this seat beating Jibesh Sarkar of CPM by a margin of 2,53,289 votes which was 26.2% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 51.47% in the seat.
