In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Khan Saumitra of BJP won in this seat defeating Shyamal Santra of TMC by a margin of 78,047 votes which was 5.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.23% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Khan Saumitra of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Susmita Bauri of CPM by a margin of 1,49,685 votes which was 11.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 45.51% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Susmita Bauri of CPM won this seat beating Seuli Saha of TMC by a margin of 1,29,366 votes which was 12.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM had a vote share of 51.31% in the seat.
