In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr Kakoli Ghoshdastidar of TMC won in this seat defeating Mrinal Kanti Debnath of BJP by a margin of 1,10,169 votes which was 7.89% of the total votes cast for the seat. TMC had a vote share of 46.44% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Kakali Ghoshdostidar of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Mortoza Hossain of AIFB by a margin of 1,73,141 votes which was 13.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 41.39% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Kakali Ghosh Dastidar of TMC won this seat beating Sudin Chattopadhyay of AIFB by a margin of 1,22,901 votes which was 11.98% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC had a vote share of 50.94% in the seat.
