In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Mala Rajya Laxmi Shah of BJP won in this seat defeating Pritam Singh of INC by a margin of 3,00,586 votes which was 34.31% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 64.3% in 2019 in this seat.
