In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Tirath Singh Rawat of BJP won in this seat defeating Manish Khanduri of INC by a margin of 3,02,669 votes which was 40.75% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 67.78% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating (Dr) Harak Singh Rawat of INC by a margin of 1,84,526 votes which was 27.06% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 59.48% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Satpal Maharaj of INC won this seat beating Lt Gen(Retd) Tejpal Singh Rawat of BJP by a margin of 17,397 votes which was 3.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 44.12% in the seat.
