In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Maneka Sanjai Gandhi of BJP won in this seat defeating Chandra Bhadra Singh 'Ssonu' of BSP by a margin of 14,526 votes which was 1.45% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.88% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Feroze Varun Gandhi of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Pawan Pandey of BSP by a margin of 1,78,902 votes which was 18.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 42.52% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay Singh of INC won this seat beating MohdTahir of BSP by a margin of 98,779 votes which was 13.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 42.44% in the seat.
