In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ravinder of BJP won in this seat defeating R S Kushwaha of BSP by a margin of 1,12,615 votes which was 12.21% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.64% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ravindra Kushawaha of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ravi Shanker Singh 'Pappu' of BSP by a margin of 2,32,342 votes which was 27.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 45.89% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ramashankar Rajbhar of BSP won this seat beating Dr Bhola Pandey of INC by a margin of 18,305 votes which was 2.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 27.5% in the seat.
