In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ashok Kumar Rawat of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Neelu Satyarthi of BSP by a margin of 1,00,672 votes which was 9.81% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.02% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Anju Bala of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ashok Kumar Rawat of BSP by a margin of 87,363 votes which was 8.75% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 41.33% in the seat.
