In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Vijay Kumar Dubey of BJP won in this seat defeating N P Kushwaha Alias Nathuni Prasad Kushwaha of SP by a margin of 3,37,560 votes which was 32.05% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 56.68% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Rajesh Pandey Urf Guddu of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kunwar Ratanjit Pratap Narain Singh of INC by a margin of 85,540 votes which was 9% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 38.93% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ratanjeet Pratap Narayan Singh of INC won this seat beating Swami Prasad Maurya of BSP by a margin of 21,094 votes which was 2.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 30.63% in the seat.
