In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Brijbhusan Sharan Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Chandradev Ram Yadav of BSP by a margin of 2,61,601 votes which was 26.66% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 59.18% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Brij Bhusan Sharan Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Vinod Kumar Alias Pandit Singh of SP by a margin of 78,218 votes which was 8.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 40.44% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh of SP won this seat beating Surendra Nath Awasthi of BSP by a margin of 72,199 votes which was 12.76% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 34.66% in the seat.
