In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma of BJP won in this seat defeating Ajay Singh (Pankaj) of BSP by a margin of 1,58,377 votes which was 14.02% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 51.45% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Brijlal Khabri of BSP by a margin of 2,87,202 votes which was 25.89% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 49.46% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ghansyam Anuragi of SP won this seat beating Tilak Chandra Ahirwar of BSP by a margin of 11,409 votes which was 1.43% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 35.48% in the seat.
