In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr Ram Shankar Katheria of BJP won in this seat defeating Kamlesh Kumar of SP by a margin of 64,437 votes which was 6.27% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 50.75% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ashok Kumar Doharey of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Premdas Kateriya of SP by a margin of 1,72,946 votes which was 18.41% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 46.79% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Premdas of SP won this seat beating Gaurishanker of BSP by a margin of 46,746 votes which was 7.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SP had a vote share of 43.69% in the seat.
