In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rekha Verma of BJP won in this seat defeating Arshad Iliyas Siddiqui of BSP by a margin of 1,60,611 votes which was 15.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 48.21% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Rekha Verma of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Daud Ahmad of BSP by a margin of 1,25,675 votes which was 11.85% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 33.99% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Kunwar Jitin Prasad of INC won this seat beating Rajesh Kumar Singh Alias Rajesh Verma of BSP by a margin of 1,84,509 votes which was 24.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 51.53% in the seat.
