In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Upendra Singh Rawat of BJP won in this seat defeating Ram Sagar Rawat of SP by a margin of 1,10,140 votes which was 9.53% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.37% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Priyanka Singh Rawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating P L Punia of INC by a margin of 2,11,878 votes which was 19.84% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 42.52% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, P L Punia of INC won this seat beating Ram Sagar of SP by a margin of 1,67,913 votes which was 22.58% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 44.17% in the seat.
