In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Virendra Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Sanatan Pandey of SP by a margin of 15,519 votes which was 1.57% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 47.36% in 2019 in this seat.
