In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pratima Bhoumik of BJP won in this seat defeating Subal Bhowmik of INC by a margin of 3,05,689 votes which was 27.6% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 51.74% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sankar Prasad Datta of CPM emerged victorious in this seat beating Arunoday Saha of INC by a margin of 5,03,486 votes which was 46.93% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM secured a vote share of 62.61% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Khagen Das of CPM won this seat beating Sudip Roy Barman of INC by a margin of 2,48,549 votes which was 26.48% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM had a vote share of 60.06% in the seat.
