In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rebati Tripura of BJP won in this seat defeating Maharaj Kumari Pragya Debburman of INC by a margin of 2,04,290 votes which was 19.54% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 46.09% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Jitendra Choudhury of CPM emerged victorious in this seat beating Sachitra Debbarma of INC by a margin of 4,84,358 votes which was 50.93% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM secured a vote share of 65.58% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Baju Ban Riyan of CPM won this seat beating Diba Chandra Hrangkhawl of INC by a margin of 2,95,581 votes which was 35.97% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM had a vote share of 63.41% in the seat.
