In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, B B Patil of TRS won in this seat defeating Madan Mohan Rao of INC by a margin of 6,229 votes which was 0.6% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 41.57% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, B B Patil of TRS emerged victorious in this seat beating Suresh Kumar Shetkar of INC by a margin of 1,44,631 votes which was 13.21% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TRS secured a vote share of 46.46% in the seat.
