In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Uttam Kumar Reddy Nalamada of INC won in this seat defeating Vemireddy Narasimha Reddy of TRS by a margin of 25,682 votes which was 2.18% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 44.73% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Gutha Sukendar Reddy of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Tera Chinnapa Reddy of TDP by a margin of 1,93,156 votes which was 16.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 39.69% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Gutha Sukender Reddy of INC won this seat beating Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy of CPI by a margin of 1,52,982 votes which was 14.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.76% in the seat.
