In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pothuganti Ramulu of TRS won in this seat defeating Dr Mallu Ravi of INC by a margin of 1,89,748 votes which was 19.17% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 50.48% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Yellaiah Nandi of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Manda Jagannath of TRS by a margin of 16,676 votes which was 1.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 37.62% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Manda Jagannath of INC won this seat beating Guvvala Balaraju of TRS by a margin of 47,767 votes which was 4.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 41.19% in the seat.
