In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Anil Kumar Gali of INC by a margin of 3,16,427 votes which was 27.51% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 51.82% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Kalva Kuntla Chandrasekhar Rao of TRS emerged victorious in this seat beating DrP Shravan Kumar Reddy of INC by a margin of 3,97,029 votes which was 33.33% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TRS secured a vote share of 55.2% in the seat.
