In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Indra Hang Subba of SKM won in this seat defeating Dek Bahadur Katwal of SDF by a margin of 12,433 votes which was 3.53% of the total votes cast for the seat. SKM had a vote share of 47.23% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Prem Das Rai of SDF emerged victorious in this seat beating Tek Nath Dhakal of SKM by a margin of 41,742 votes which was 13.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. SDF secured a vote share of 52.98% in the seat.
