In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Balak Nath of BJP won in this seat defeating Bhanwar Jitendra Singh of INC by a margin of 3,29,971 votes which was 26.07% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 59.93% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Chand Nath of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bhanwar Jitendra Singh of INC by a margin of 2,83,895 votes which was 26.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 60.46% in the seat.
