In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Santokh Singh Chaudhary of INC won in this seat defeating Charanjit Singh Atwal of SAD by a margin of 19,491 votes which was 1.91% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 37.84% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Santokh Singh Choudhary of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Pawan Kumar Tinu of SAD by a margin of 70,981 votes which was 6.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 36.56% in the seat.
