In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Jual Oram of BJP won in this seat defeating Sunita Biswal of BJD by a margin of 2,23,065 votes which was 20.28% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 45.42% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Jual (Juel Oram) of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dilip Kumar Tirkey of BJD by a margin of 18,829 votes which was 1.87% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 33.84% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Hemanand Biswal of INC won this seat beating Jual Oram of BJP by a margin of 11,624 votes which was 1.51% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 36.47% in the seat.
