In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Bishweswar Tudu of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Debashis Marndi of BJD by a margin of 25,256 votes which was 2.2% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 42.01% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Rama Chandra Hansdah of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Nepole Raghu Murmu of BJP by a margin of 1,22,866 votes which was 11.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 37.38% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Laxman Tudu of BJD won this seat beating Sudam Marndi of JMM by a margin of 66,178 votes which was 8.01% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD had a vote share of 31.08% in the seat.
