In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Anubhav Mohanty of BJD won in this seat defeating Baijayant Panda of BJP by a margin of 1,53,581 votes which was 12.4% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 50.88% in 2019 in this seat.
