In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo of BJP won in this seat defeating Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo of BJD by a margin of 19,516 votes which was 1.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 38.12% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo of BJP by a margin of 1,04,299 votes which was 8.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 38.75% in the seat.
