In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pramila Bisoyi of BJD won in this seat defeating Anita Subhadarshini of BJP by a margin of 2,04,707 votes which was 20.19% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 54.52% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ladu Kishore Swain of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Srilokanath Ratha of INC by a margin of 3,11,997 votes which was 34.81% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 60.41% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Nityananda Pradhan of BJD won this seat beating Ramachandra Rath of INC by a margin of 2,32,834 votes which was 33.17% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD had a vote share of 59.81% in the seat.
