In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Oinam Nabakishore Singh of INC by a margin of 17,755 votes which was 2.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 34.67% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Thokchom Meinya of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Moirangthem Nara of CPI by a margin of 94,674 votes which was 14.77% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 45.58% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Thokchom Meinya of INC won this seat beating Moirangthem Nara of CPI by a margin of 30,960 votes which was 5.31% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 39.59% in the seat.
