In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Riti Pathak of BJP won in this seat defeating Ajay Arjun Singh of INC by a margin of 2,86,524 votes which was 22.34% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 54.44% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Riti Pathak of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Indrajeet Kumar of INC by a margin of 1,08,046 votes which was 10.73% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 47.23% in the seat.
