In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ganesh Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Rajaram Tripathi of INC by a margin of 2,31,473 votes which was 20.78% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.86% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Ganesh Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Ajay Singh Rahul Bhaiyya of INC by a margin of 8,688 votes which was 0.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 41.08% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Ganesh Singh of BJP won this seat beating Sukhlal Kushwaha of BSP by a margin of 4,418 votes which was 0.67% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 29.51% in the seat.
