In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Guman Singh Damor of BJP won in this seat defeating Kantilal Bhuria of INC by a margin of 90,636 votes which was 6.47% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 49.67% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Dileepsingh Bhuriya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Kantilal Bhuria of INC by a margin of 1,08,457 votes which was 10.02% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 50.43% in the seat.
