In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sudheer Gupta of BJP won in this seat defeating Meenakshi Natarajan of INC by a margin of 3,76,734 votes which was 27.49% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 61.81% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Sudhir Gupta of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Meenakshi Natarajan of INC by a margin of 3,03,649 votes which was 26.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 60.13% in the seat.
