In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Uday Pratap Singh of BJP won in this seat defeating Shailendra Diwan Chandarbhan Singh of INC by a margin of 5,53,682 votes which was 43.74% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 69.33% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Uday Pratap Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Devendra Patel 'Guddu Bhaiya' of INC by a margin of 3,89,960 votes which was 37.82% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 64.89% in the seat.
