In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Nakul Kamal Nath of INC won in this seat defeating Nathansaha Kawreti of BJP by a margin of 37,536 votes which was 3.01% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 47.04% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Kamal Nath of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Choudhary Chandrabhan Kuber Singh of BJP by a margin of 1,16,537 votes which was 10.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC secured a vote share of 50.54% in the seat.
