In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur of BJP won in this seat defeating Digvijaya Singh of INC by a margin of 3,64,822 votes which was 25.91% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 61.51% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Alok Sanjar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating P C Sharma (Prakash Mangilal Sharma) of INC by a margin of 3,70,696 votes which was 34.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 67.19% in the seat.
