In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kunar Hembram of BJP won in this seat defeating Birbaha Saren of TMC by a margin of 11,767 votes which was 0.84% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 44.53% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Uma Saren of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Pulin Bihari Baske of CPM by a margin of 3,47,883 votes which was 27.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 53.63% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Pulin Bihari Baske of CPM won this seat beating Amrit Hansda of INC by a margin of 2,92,345 votes which was 30.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPM had a vote share of 56.89% in the seat.
