In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Shantanu Thakur of BJP won in this seat defeating Mamata Thakur of TMC by a margin of 1,11,594 votes which was 7.93% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 48.81% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Kapil Krishna Thakur of TMC emerged victorious in this seat beating Debesh Das of CPM by a margin of 1,46,601 votes which was 11.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC secured a vote share of 42.94% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Gobinda Chandra Naskar of TMC won this seat beating Asim Bala of CPM by a margin of 92,826 votes which was 8.61% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TMC had a vote share of 50.69% in the seat.
