In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Keshari Devi Patel of BJP won in this seat defeating Pandhari Yadav of SP by a margin of 1,71,968 votes which was 17.58% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 55.63% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Keshav Prasad Maurya of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dharam Raj Singh Patel of SP by a margin of 3,08,308 votes which was 32.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 52.44% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Kapil Muni Karwariya of BSP won this seat beating Shyama Charan Gupta of SP by a margin of 14,578 votes which was 2.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 30.34% in the seat.
