In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Anupriya Singh Patel of ADAL won in this seat defeating Ramcharitra Nishad of SP by a margin of 2,32,008 votes which was 20.92% of the total votes cast for the seat. ADAL had a vote share of 53.34% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Anupriya Singh Patel of ADAL emerged victorious in this seat beating Samudra Bind of BSP by a margin of 2,19,079 votes which was 21.74% of the total votes polled in the constituency. ADAL secured a vote share of 43.32% in the seat.
