In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Rajendra Agarwal of BJP won in this seat defeating Haji Mohammad Yaqoob of BSP by a margin of 4,729 votes which was 0.39% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 48.17% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Rajendra Agarwal of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating MohdShahid Akhlak of BSP by a margin of 2,32,326 votes which was 20.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 47.87% in the seat.
