In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Ajay Kumar of BJP won in this seat defeating Dr Purvi Verma of SP by a margin of 2,18,807 votes which was 19.25% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 53.62% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Ajay of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Arvind Giri of BSP by a margin of 1,10,274 votes which was 10.23% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 36.98% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Zafar Ali Naqvi of INC won this seat beating Iliyas Azmi of BSP by a margin of 8,777 votes which was 1.24% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 26.13% in the seat.
