In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel of BJP won in this seat defeating Dilip Kumar Singh of BSP by a margin of 2,48,652 votes which was 11.96% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 52.76% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Bishambhar Prasad Nishad of SP by a margin of 2,66,788 votes which was 27.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 46.54% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Vijay Bahadur Singh of BSP won this seat beating Siddha Gopal Sahu of INC by a margin of 25,502 votes which was 3.52% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BSP had a vote share of 27.45% in the seat.
