In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kirti Vardhan Singh Alias Raja Bhaiya of BJP won in this seat defeating Vinod Kumar Alias Pandit Singh of SP by a margin of 1,66,360 votes which was 18.01% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 54.99% in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Kirti Vardhan Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Nandita Shukla of SP by a margin of 1,60,412 votes which was 18.36% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 41.16% in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Beni Prasad Verma of INC won this seat beating Kirti Vardhan Singh (Raja Bhaiya) of BSP by a margin of 23,675 votes which was 3.91% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 25.69% in the seat.
